Fotostation
Don't like change, amateur photographer, point and snap hoping for that one photo. I have Adobe Photoshop 7, another out of date but there you go so am I (78). No memory card, holds 100 720.480 photos s I presume it would work with any cameras photos but I haven't explored any deeper. This is a great program because I actually have one of the first digital cameras and it still pulls them up. I am not very computer literate and I just have a Nikon coolpics 3500 which like yours is out of date, probably out of date the day I bought it. I think the problem was actually with quicktime. I can also click on a screen marker and it puts the photo on the screen as background. It came with the camera but I do have other storage, just not as convenient, bit like a one stop shop. Don't ask me how it works but it seems to be able to hold every photo on my computer no matter where it is so makes it easy to scroll through and remind yourself what you have. Nothing spectacular just very good at storage. It might be something as simple as a logo-change or the menu topics.
#FOTOSTATION INSTALL#
Just look at the way they all jostle for top-ratings "make me the default" etc.Īnother reason that yr existing CD wouldn't install all the files ( that Quicktime you mentioned), could be there were pieces of Quicktime of a later date - so programs being rather stupid, it might conclude the earlier parts were to be ignored, but the later part was unavailable. Computers aren't very clever when it comes to doing stupid things with programs that may be needed by another program. It's possible the reason for that Error was some part had become deleted by another install/deleted program. My JPEGs appear to be readable, even from earlier camera-files stored on my ( various) HDD. For that reason I shy away from using RAW on my Sony NEX5 ( which is already an out-of-date model-series ). thus eliminating the fear ( which I have ) that anything taken in RAW will "one-day" become unreadable. It really is about time all RAW images were to the same standard, as I believe JPEGs are. or is this a RAW interface program you need to make sense of the Nikon RAW file, perhaps? perhaps you can explain why you don't do this.
so you will be in trouble not "IF" but rather "When", as all companies change their ideas from time-to-time and it is their existing customers that are left with inoperable kit.or library of photos.Ĭan you take/store/print pictures using that Nikon camera without this software? - using perhaps a "popular" editing program.
#FOTOSTATION SOFTWARE#
either by having silly software or programs that are not "open-Source". I have to say I'm not impressed by Mfrs that take the trouble to mess up their customers. You say the latest one is v.expensive - is this marketed by Nikon - Isn't that a disincentive to buy Nikon?
Can you tell us what this program does - and is it only applicable to one Nikon model, or can it be used with all Nikons.or all Makes, even?
